Vancouver Island is in canada. The river water running through this island became bright green color during last month. The residents and the biology-scientists of this island became scared. The photos of the river is given here. The confusion was whether this strange happenings is a natural phenomenon or some kind of mischief. Finally the secrets for this coloration was revealed.
The worry of the government is that, if this is a mischief by pouring some chemicals into the river, then this will contaminate the river and the filsh and wild life around this river will be affected.
The water samples of this river was analysed and it was found that somebody has poured a chemical : fluorescein.
This chemical is mainly used by biologists to trace the rain water leads. and this chemical is non polluting and non toxic .
This chemical is used for fourescent tracer in lot of applications. Some intellegent idiots have dissolved the chemical in the river just for fun.
